The Fleet Maintenance Technician is primarily responsible for maintaining fleet equipment and ensuring that all over-the-road equipment is legal, safe and road worthy. The Fleet Maintenance Technician must track all jobs and labor hours utilizing a work order system and must effectively operate within the Fleet R&M budget and optimize performance. This position requires the flexibility to work 40+ hours per week and weekends as required. This position requires a general understanding of testing and evaluations conducted in the plant raw material testing laboratory and supervision of lab quality technicians. The position interacts with plant, pipe operations, material science and product development while ensuring all required testing and projects are completed in a timely manner. The Supervisor Quality Lab reports to the Plant Manager and interacts regularly with plant personnel.   Primary Job Responsibilities:

Summary: Performs the preventive and reactive maintenance duties required for the manufacturing operations of the plant. Priorities of the Maintenance Technician include the execution of PM schedules, repair of any equipment that is needed to maintain maximum production rates and maintenance of an adequate spare parts inventory. This position requires the flexibility to work 40+ hours per week, weekends as required and fulfill on-call duties for repairs and assistance. This is a 12hr shift. 2nd shift, 6pm-6am.
